Cordia Boissieri (White Geiger) is a flowering small tree or shrub with a symmetrical rounded crown. Also, in its native area in the u.s. and it may be close to extinction. It is an evergreen, but may lose its leaves under frost conditions; and the bark is thin and easily damaged.
Additionally, it bears silvery green, alternate ovate leaves with a velvety texture, 2 x 7 inches in size. Flowers are white and trumpet-shaped blooms 1 to 2 inches wide. Fruits are white to yellowish-green up to 1 inch in length, resembling an olive. The propagation of the Cordia Boissieri (White Geiger) is by seed or air-layering. Both leaves and fruits have medicinal uses; and a jelly can be made from the fruits, which are eaten by birds. Also the wood is suitable fuelwood and carpentry.

Cordia Boissieri (White Geiger) can be grown in a range of soil types providing they are well-drained; it has no pest problems. Cultivated for its compact form and showy flowers, it is an excellent plant for the seaside, along walkways, in drought environments, small gardens and planters, or in a lawn area as a free standing specimen tree. It can also be used as an Island tree. Island trees selected for planting along city streets have unique safety requirements. It requires pruning to maintain a single trunk.
